Event Information

On The Day

The gates to the venue will be open from 7:00am. It is advisable to arrive by 8:00am at the latest to ensure suitable parking for your competition vehicle, service vehicle, and trailer. Trailers may be in a remote area separate from the main service area due to space limitations. If unexpected delays occur, please phone ahead so we can organise paddock access and delayed sign-on and scrutiny.

Venue Access — E-Scooters & E-Bikes

E-Scooters are not permitted at any RSA event. E-Bikes are permitted to cycle the stage up to 9:00am only. This applies to all upcoming events. Anyone failing to comply will be asked to leave the venue.

Event Format

The event is held over six timed runs with each competitor’s best five times counting towards their final result. Trophies are awarded for First, Second, and Third place in each class, as well as the Overall Winners. Presentation takes place outside or inside (weather dependent) the rally office.

We encourage all new drivers who have not previously competed with us to familiarise themselves with our Drivers Briefing for a better understanding of what to expect on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I require a MSUK or MI Rally Licence?

No. You receive a daily RSA licence when placing your entry online. Proof of age may be required at Sign-On.

Do I need a navigator?

All junior drivers must carry an adult passenger (parent/guardian). Adult drivers do not require a passenger.

Can I carry multiple passengers at an event?

Yes. All passengers must be signed on, wearing appropriate racewear, and adhering to all regulations. There is no additional fee for passengers.

Do I need to register or become a member?

No. When you complete an event and finish within the top 10 in your respective class, you automatically qualify for points.

Will there be a tyre fitter at the event?

Most likely. SW Adair Tyres loyally supports our events and competitors, but it is always best to call them directly to pre-order or confirm their attendance.

I have never competed in motorsport before — is this a good place to start?

Yes. The RSA provides a safe and controlled environment for new and young drivers to compete and develop their skills. We strongly encourage new drivers to privately hire a venue such as Nuttscorner Circuit, Aghadowey, or Pallas Karting for practice before their first event.

I am building a car to compete — what do I need?

Read through all information in the Regulations section as requirements vary between classes. If you have any queries, contact us directly and do not rely solely on the advice of others.

What classes can a junior driver compete in?

As per our insurance, drivers aged 12–16 may compete in Classes 1, 2 & 12 only. All junior drivers must be accompanied by an adult passenger (parent/guardian) at all times when in the vehicle.
