General
✓CrossKart is a single seat, rear wheel drive vehicle. Four-wheel drive and all forms of forced induction (turbo, compressor etc.) are prohibited.
✓Only homologated chassis from recognised manufacturers are permitted for competition.
✓A mechanical gearbox is compulsory. Automatic or semi-automatic gearboxes are only permitted for drivers with a disability.
✓All classes are for adults only. Minimum driver age is 17 years.
✓All vehicles must display any provided championship sponsor logos in two clearly visible locations.
✓It is always the competitor’s responsibility to ensure their vehicle satisfies all rules and regulations throughout competition. No exemptions may be granted by organisers, judges, or technical inspectors.
✓Re-runs are only applicable when a run is terminated by the organisers or marshals.
Scrutineering
✓All vehicles must undergo an inspection before competition. Scrutineering will check that all components are undamaged and do not compromise safety. Specific attention will be paid to any cracking in the frame or cage.
✓Any vehicle that does not fulfil the technical demands or has damaged components compromising safety will not be permitted to compete.
✓Drivers must present their overalls at scrutineering — they must be clean and free from oil stains.
✓All vehicles must conform to a 105dB(A) noise limit, tested at 1 metre from the exhaust outlet at a 45-degree angle at 7000 RPM. All vehicles must be fitted with an exhaust silencer — minimum sleeve length 280mm, maximum outlet diameter 61mm.

Seat Belts
✓Minimum 5-point belt required. There shall be no common connection point for the belts.
✓Belt fastenings must be properly dimensioned and connected to the chassis with minimum 8mm bolts, or a welded loop connection.
✓Seatbelts must be marked with FIA homologation and expiry date labels. Belts must be exchanged after a heavy collision, or if metal parts are deformed, fabric is damaged, stretched, or weakened by chemicals or sunlight.
Driver’s Seat
✓Seat must be FIA approved with homologation date and approval visible. The seat must have no structural or covering damage.
✓Seat must be mounted at 4 points with minimum 8mm bolts. Minimum steel thickness for securing the seat is 3mm — lightweight material is prohibited. Securing must be welded or screwed into the frame above the floor; no securing shall be made in the floor metal.
✓The head support must be integrated into the seat.
Electrical System & Kill Switches
✓The engine kill switch must not be equipped with a spring-loaded button that returns to the original position after activation.
✓A main switch must be fitted that kills all electrical systems, easily accessible for both the driver when strapped in and for emergency personnel from outside the vehicle.
✓All batteries must be properly secured.
Fire Extinguisher
✓All vehicles must carry a minimum 1.5-litre handheld fire extinguisher, securely mounted to the floor in front of the driver’s seat and held in place with quick-release torpedo straps.
✓Alternatively, a minimum of one fire safety stick extinguisher (min 50 seconds) mounted using the supplied bracketry is permitted.
Front & Side Window Protection
✓The front window must be covered by mesh, polycarbonate (minimum 3mm thick), or glass with safety film applied. A full polycarbonate or glass front window must not be fitted unless windscreen wipers and washers are also installed.
✓Polycarbonate, mesh, or both are mandatory on the side doors. Polycarbonate must be transparent so the driver is visible.
Firewall
A protection wall must be installed to safeguard against cooling liquid and engine explosion.
Towing Points
All vehicles must have a front and rear tow point secured to a structural component of the car.
Technical Regulations
Competition Numbers
Numbers must be in a contrasting colour to the body of the vehicle and printed in a plain font.
Wheels & Tyres
✓Only 10″ rims are permitted, constructed from steel or aluminium. All forms of tyre heating are strictly prohibited.
✓Tyre choice is unrestricted. A maximum of one new set of Hoosier slick tyres is permitted per event — new slick tyres must be presented at scrutiny and will be clearly marked.
✓Used tyres marked from previous events are permitted. New unused tyres require approval and remarking at scrutineering.
✓In the event of punctures or severe tyre degradation, replacement with a single used tyre is permitted but must be approved by an RSA official before fitment and re-marked before use.
Engines
✓4-stroke, 4-cylinder 600cc, 750cc, or 1000cc motorcycle production engines are permitted, with the exception of motorcycle engines that have been on the market for one year or less.
✓All repairs must use parts from the original model or copies of the same specification, in accordance with the manufacturer’s workshop manual.
Suspension
✓Wheel suspension is free. No fixed axles at the front or rear are permitted. The rear axle must be divided.
✓Shock absorbers are free, but all types of active shock absorbers are prohibited. One shock absorber per wheel — all must be coil-over type with screw springs. Multiple springs per unit are permitted. Each shock absorber must work as an independent device.
✓Springs must be made from steel. Composite or titanium springs are prohibited.
Fuel System
✓Fuel tank construction is free. The tank must be safely mounted and connected outside the cockpit.
✓If the tank is mounted behind the head frame, a deformation of approximately 4cm must be accommodated without compromising the tank, or the tank must be protected by an additional multi-pipe construction of 30mm diameter.
✓If the tank is within 20cm of the exhaust or engine it must be protected with a heat-isolating screen. Fuel hoses must be properly clamped.
Exhaust System
The exhaust system must be fitted with a silencer. Minimum silencer sleeve length: 280mm. Maximum outlet diameter: 61mm.
Transmission
Transmission is free, but the driveshaft must have a common connection. The differential must be fixed (fixed coil type). A reverse gear is permitted. Propulsion must be achieved by chain.
Brake System
✓Brakes must be present on all 4 wheels. A central brake system on the rear wheels is permitted.
✓The brake system must be dual-circuit and controlled by a pedal. In the event of a leak, brakes must always be maintained on at least 2 out of 4 wheels.
Steering
✓Steering must be achieved via a steering wheel. Only front-wheel steering is permitted. The steering wheel must be equipped with a quick release.
Cooling
✓Installation of radiators inside or in front of the cockpit is prohibited. Radiators may be mounted in side pontoons if separated by bulkheads. No part of the cooling system shall be visible from the cockpit.
✓Air intake scoops are permitted in the roof, sides behind the head frame, and in the pontoons.
Bodywork
✓The body must be fitted and must not have any sharp or pointed extensions. The body’s front must cover up to the centre of the steering wheel.
✓Sides must be a minimum of 30cm from the bottom of the frame and at least 0.5mm thick.

Visibility
✓Two mirrors are mandatory (left and right).
✓Each vehicle must have the following lights mounted at the rear: one central LED red light and one LED red stop light.
Side Protection
✓Side protection bars must be mounted between the wheels on the long side of the vehicle, secured at both ends, covering a minimum of 60% of the wheelbase length.
✓The space between the protection bars and body structure must be completely or partly filled to prevent a wheel from penetrating.
✓Both ends of the outer pipes must be plugged with the same material and located at the height of the wheel hub centre ±50mm.
Penalties
✓Any breach of technical regulations may result in exclusion from the specific round.
✓Any entrant bringing the organisation into disrepute through the unauthorised use of private or public roads during an event will be ineligible for future events.
✓Any entrant being physically or verbally abusive to any organiser, marshal, technical inspector, other competitors, or attendees may be ineligible for future events.
✓Any entrant not attending the obligatory drivers briefing will be ineligible for competition for that round.
✓Any entrant found to be deliberately holding back to gain a favourable advantage of track condition will receive a stage maximum time.
✓Any entrant not lined up and ready to start their stage within the stage window will miss their stage and receive a maximum time.
